Ergo Institute is a Swedish Non-Profit venture paving way for
innovative and strategically groundbreaking use of Industrial Design.
Ergo Institute is the hub for visionary stakeholders gathered
from Industry, Academia, Public Sector, Governmental entities and
Non Governmental Organisations, sharing one idea; to put Industrial
Design to use as a strategic tool in the efforts for a sustainable
development of our global society.
The Creative Paradigm, as recognized by the World Economic Forum,
exposes us to a wake-up call. We need to explore, educate and transfer
new innovative competence to address urgent needs within private
and public sector in times of rapidly changing knowledge economies
and globalization.
We believe an innovative International Centre of Excellence, targeting
these issues, is the prudent and responsible way to respond to
this calling.
Industrial Design stands out as the designated stepping stone,
given the competence’s proven track-record as an innovative
and holistic catalyst in diverse contexts.
Industrial Design harbour powerful qualities needed
to forge a cutting-edge competence that will provide us with new constructive
contributions to strategies and to tactical decisions on managerial
levels, both in public and private sectors, as well as within NGO’s.
A global community, well in balance, will foster prosperity and
security for all. That is why we strongly support the United Nations
Millennium Goals.
We propose the focus of operations for this Centre of Excellence,
be to address the United Nations ambitions. By doing so, we seek
to contribute to the efforts for lasting and generic impact that
will be beneficiary to us all, regardless of our whereabouts.
